Okay nearing three months in and with my new blogging ID up and running I feel I have learnt alot about my colleagues albeit in a short amount of time – I thought I would share just a few observations I have made and the lessons I have learnt……
Matt – Our Big Bad Operations Director……He is most inspiring and original in the naming of new things…….and is very serious in doing so…A true leader to be followed….all the way to the pub!!.Lesson learnt – Squidge puppet has meaning!!
Rob – Has an amazing ability to find music from any era to suit any situation in a matter of seconds so that the moment is never lost! Lesson learnt – The countdown music is VERY annoying!
Skip – PCs live in fear of her presence and in turn paranoia takes over and Skip truly believes there is a war afoot……..SKIP vs IT - fighting every problem in turn with the trusted support of…….well anyone in the office who is brave enough (or new enough and therefore naïve enough) to face the paranoia head on!!! Lesson learnt – if Skip has a PC problem keep head down….must look busy!
Hannah – Very similar to Skips PC problem except Hannahs war is all about the car!!!! In all honesty this observation has been made much in conjunction with reports of events prior to my time here in Camps, however previous events taken into account and the fact that in just coming up to my third month here she is about to be taking on her third car since Ive been here – I feel it is a just observation.Lesson learnt – My AA cover works!!!!
Fi – Never refuses a cup of tea and therefore earning the title of Tea Monster (I have even been guilty of making her a cup when Im just getting water as I truly respect her commitment to the world of tea!!)
Lesson learnt – my tea drinking skills are good…….but not good enough!!!
Lisa – She is soooooooo patient!!! I mess up (what feels like a lot) then I feel the need to apologise for my mess ups by bombarding her with apologies – I must drive her CRRRAAAZZZY but Ive found promise of alcohol when she gets to the UK for every mess up I make keeps her from wanting to kill me on arrival and instead turns her into a very possible good drinking buddy!!Lesson learnt – November is going to be expensive!!!
Ian – is quickly following suit with Fi, having only known Ian for a few days few observations have been made but one standing out is definitely his ability to drink tea….Fi your title may be in danger!!! Lesson learnt – titles will only last so long…
Dave (the dog!) – Has persuasion tactics which the SAS could learn from, can make me smooth him just by looking at me!Lesson learnt – Large cute eyes = dangerous distraction!
Amy – Extremely good at fending off my constant hints of wanting involvement in her workLesson learnt – be persistent – I will break her!!!!
Cheryl – Hmmm the quiet one………..there is more to Cheryl than meets the eye – me thinks that her wicked sense of humour combined with a few drinks will equal a lot of fun!!Lesson learnt – Stay alert!!!!
Sally – Her Mum is an awesome cook and if it runs in the family Sals new kitchen may be dangerous….Lesson learnt – I have no will power!!
Stuart – Our Bigger Badder Managing Director………………Judgement - reserved until I meet him!!!Lesson learnt – Keep your boss on side!!
