Want to work for Camps?

August 5th, 2010 by Matt

In a nutshell, we provide amazing opportunities for school and gap year students through our volunteer programs in both Africa and Asia.

These programs incorporate much needed community development and wildlife conservation projects that not only allow us to provide often life changing*experiences to our students (*their words, not ours!), but the positive impact we make on the communities and environment we work in means the more successful we are, the greater the positive impact on the area.

Our guys tell us this makes for a much happier Monday morning feeling!!

It’s not just those who work here that think we make a difference – we are the proud winners of the ‘Best Volunteer Organisation’ category at the 2008 Responsible Tourism Awards.

Great! Check out more of what we do at and what it’s like to work for us at www.youtube.com/campsinternational

C – C – Car Trouble

June 27th, 2007 by Matt

Skippy’s just come back from a Gap Fair in Bristol.
Her car broke down last night and so she had her brother driving out to collect her and sort her out, then a taxi this morning back to her car to meet the man from the RAC.
It turned out that she had run out of engine oil!
When I asked her when was the last time she checked the oil, she said “Well the dipstick is rusted closed, does that give you an idea?”
All of this the day after she lectured Hannah about how there is no need to check the oil and water levels on cars these days…
Genius.
