Trainer Kite– Fly It Right!

Gap year water sports Africa - Kite Surfing

Everyone learns to kiteboard starting with a trainer kite on the beach. In this program we teach you all the right techniques to avoid bad habits right from the start. You will learn kite control, launching and landing, flying in a harness, one handed flying, and simulations so that you are ready for the water.

Into The Water:

During this phase of the course you will learn water launching, body dragging (sounds terrible but actually great fun!), board control and how to tack the kite. In addition you will learn the all important skills associated with self rescue in order that you are fully prepared for any eventuality.

Up and riding:

Once you have all the basics under your harness it is time to get up on the board and riding across the Indian Ocean. You will be amazed at how easy and addictive this sport is.
