Peace One Day Concert at The O2
Last night we were invited to the Peace One Day concert at the O2 arena in London.
As a company we see the potential for this to succeed. On the 21st September 2012 the aim is to make the whole world stop fighting both internationally and domestically. Giving the children of the world the chance to experience just one day of peace allowing aid and assistance to be given to previously inaccessible areas.
All over the world our camps staff and volunteers take part in Peace One Day celebrations, spreading the word amongst the local communities. 15 members of the Camps International office staff and some extra guests turned up to see some great live performances. This included World Dance Champions “Flawless” were amazing and performed with the English National Ballet which was an interesting mix. Affro-Reggae had come all the way from Brazil and shattered our eardrums, Razorlight, Eliza Doolottle and Youseff all played cracking sets and had us all up and dancing. Star of the night for us was Newton Faulkner who sipped tea in between classic tunes.
Half way through the concert we were ecstatic to see a message about Camps International’s contribution to Peace One Day go flying round the O2 in front of thousands. Talk about getting the message across.

The night was punctuated with videos and messages of support from around the world including Banki Moon, Kofi Annan, Seb Coe and Many others. We’d like to thank the Team from Peace One Day for a great night out and the chance to chill out in London. Just to prove nothing changes in the world we got stuck in a jam on the M25 at 1am getting home.

Frankly I’m just relieved there’s no footage of me awkwardly bopping around.
The video of the big Camps projection is awesome though!
