Celebrating 20 years of Global Impact: Read More
Camps International is a social enterprise that operates a network of permanent international volunteer camps in the heart of rural communities and wildlife conservation areas in Latin America, East Africa and SE Asia. Our camps are located where poverty levels are high and/or there are significant environmental and wildlife conservation challenges. Most of the camps are established on community land, employing local people, with each one acting as the hub from which we run a wide range of sustainable volunteer projects and adventure activities for young people from around the globe. Projects vary from constructing school classrooms and supplying drinking water to terrestrial and marine wildlife conservation, reforestation, environmental education and micro finance initiatives.
Probably the biggest benefit is working with a small and relaxed team dedicated to Camps and the amazing opportunities we provide to young people. We pride ourselves on the relaxed and inclusive feeling within the company and are passionate about the life changing awesome experiences we provide to young people.
This role could suit someone who needs to be off during school holidays. Since we are only calling schools during term time, you will receive plenty of time off during school holidays. There is some flexibility with hours worked, again suiting someone who may have other responsibilities within their household. In addition, this will be a purely working from home role, but with constant support and interaction via video calls to engender teamwork and closer communications across this truly global team.
There is commission available for this role which means if you are good at it, you could be very well rewarded. More details of this commission will be explained upon application.
So what does a Camps International Business Development Executive need? Experience of telesales work is preferable but not critical – we are more interested in you as an individual and willingness to join our team.
General office working hours of 8.30am – 4.30pm apply. However, there is scope for flexibility with days/hours worked for the right candidate and we are happy to discuss and requirements with applicants. The role will be predominantly based from home but may involve occasional training/meetings face to face. Again for the right candidate we can be flexible and adapt these requirements to more online meetings and training.
Camps International values passion, drive and integrity – do you?
