We are also pleased to see continued improvements to insurance cover thanks to the introduction of vaccines and more effective treatment.

We recognise there are still many obstacles to overcome and that the current restrictions pose additional challenges for many of our travellers, however if you are booked to travel with us this year, we believe you can look forward to your expedition with real confidence and we are actively securing all the extraordinary elements needed to deliver your trip. Our Camps communities are delighted to be welcoming circa 4,000 students from around the world this year and the positive impact they’ll make has never been more needed.

In the meantime, we have opened some of our Camps to adult travellers and are pleased to see an increasing number of families choosing to travel with us. These experiences all help to support our local teams, contribute to vital projects and are available on request through any of our global offices.

As we look to the future, new trips can now be booked for later this year and beyond and our crew is already busy with schools organising these expeditions. We are introducing a wide range of new options across all travel seasons to ensure as many people as possible get to experience the life-changing travel opportunities they’ve missed out on over the last 12 months.

Throughout last year our ‘Real World Studies’ e-learning programme, linking schools to our projects through a suite of world class online educational resources, grew exponentially and is proving to be invaluable to teachers as they navigate remote learning and broadening horizons. This month we have, in partnership with industry experts, written and published a collaborative guide for schools aimed at safely recovering educational travel. We will make this available to everyone in the coming weeks.

So, here’s wishing you a safe, healthy and altogether more positive New Year. We look forward to seeing you on expedition, back out enjoying wild places and doing something amazing.

The Camps Team
