The Role:

Our Technical Team are an integral part of our global operations, guiding various aspects of expedition preparation and delivery to ensure we are providing exceptional expeditions. This group role involves working closely with our offices in UAE, Australia and delivery regions. We strive for the highest standards throughout every element of our operations, from the moment a trip is launched through to the return home and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expedition Leader recruitment, management and training
  • Administration of Expedition Leader email inboxes and comms
  • Preparation of resources & venues for recruitment and training events
  • Preparation of documentation for expeditions i.e. Leader and Teacher Packs
  • Building and sustaining relationships with key contacts
  • Assisting with comms between UK office and overseas staff including collating daily reports
  • Emergency Response Team*
  • Assisting with medical screening
  • Expedition review and improvement processes i.e. debriefs, PXRs
  • Administration of Expedition Leaders returning documents such as invoices
  • Preparation of pre-departure information such as kit lists, presentations and online portal content
  • Preparation and maintenance of expedition equipment such as First Aid Kits and Leader Kit
  • Assisting with flight booking
    *On call on a rotational basis

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience working within Outdoor Adventure/Education Industry ideally within either the travel industry or Schools
  • A good level of English Literacy and Numeracy
  • Ability to build rapport over the phone as well as face to face
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organisation skills
  • Computer and Microsoft Office proficient
  • Self-Driven and Focused with the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Teamwork – we didn’t just add this in as a nice to have – at Camps we value our team culture more than the great coffee machine we have in the office!
  • Full driving license is desirable
