Our Company

We are a social enterprise providing ethical travel opportunities for schools and independent travellers through our volunteer programmes in Africa, Asia and South America. We are an international group with 10 companies and staff located around the world. We have a culture that embraces all of our staff and also builds on the amazing project work that our travellers do when they travel with us.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller (UK), we have a vacancy within our UK based finance team for a junior accounts assistant. This is an entry level role within the department and will work closely with the existing team of accounts assistants.

The role will have exposure to most aspects of accountancy over time with regular duties including the processing of sales and purchase invoices, performing daily bank reconciliations, administration of our direct debit scheme, answering questions from customers, updating spreadsheets/databases and producing month-end reports. The role will also have some general office administration duties.

The Person

We are looking for someone who is personable, confident, willing to learn and with a long term desire to work in accountancy. We will contribute towards training for an accountancy qualification during employment, however at this stage, we are also prepared to consider this role as an apprenticeship.
