Camps International – we do great stuff!

In a nutshell, we provide expedition opportunities for schools through our experiential school travel programmes in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The “Camps Effect” is the impact that our expeditions have on those who travel with us as well as the impact that our community and conservation projects have on people and the planet. It’s at the core of all that we do and no surprise that our crew tells us that this makes for a much happier Monday morning feeling!

The Role

As a Travel Support Coordinator, you play a vital role in ensuring our teachers, students, and parents feel supported, informed, and confident throughout their journey with us.

You are the key contact for your assigned schools, offering seamless service from initial contact through to expedition completion. Your work helps maintain strong relationships and keeps everything running smoothly.

  • Respond to enquiries and manage communications to ensure all client needs are met with professionalism and care.
  • Keep our internal database fully up to date, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Contribute to retention targets and assist in managing cancellations.
  • Deliver webinars such as Responsible Traveller Training, Fundraising Support, and Pre-Departure Meetings.
  • Provide operational support to local teams pre, during and post team’s travel, particularly during the busy UK summer season.
  • Hold the Emergency Phone during out-of-office hours (on a rota), ensuring 24/7 support for in-country teams.
  • Attend and support teacher and leader training events, which may include overnight stays and weekends.
  • Travel may be available, typically during October Half Term, to support teachers in the field, visit camps, and engage with local staff.
  • Get involved in both short- and long-term projects to support the success of the Travel Support team.

Key Attributes for Success in This Role:

  • Strong team spirit and collaboration
  • Flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Friendly and calm telephone manner
