After you’ve settled in, it’s time for dinner and into bed for a good night’s sleep.
Day 2 Environmental Conservation Project Today, you’ll get hands-on with vital wildlife conservation work, taking part in snare removal, invasive plant clearance, and habitat restoration. These practical tasks offer an insight into life as a ranger in the African bush, giving you the chance to make a real and lasting impact on the local ecosystem. Your efforts will help create a safer environment for native wildlife and support the recovery of essential habitats, allowing biodiversity to thrive. Along the way, you’ll also deepen your understanding of the savannah’s unique flora and fauna, the threats it faces, and the steps being taken to protect it for generations to come.

You’ll also take part in preparing and enjoying a delicious traditional lunch.
Day 5 Hike in Blyde River Canyon Today you’ll hike in the Blyde River Canyon along the banks of the Blyde Dam. As the third-largest canyon in the world, the Blyde River Canyon stands out for its lush, subtropical vegetation, earning it the nickname of a “green canyon.” It’s part of the spectacular Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve, home to dramatic cliffs, tree lined slopes, and breathtaking viewpoints. You may have the chance to spot hippos or crocodiles during your hike! A packed lunch will be provided for this day.

It was a life changing experience. It taught me a lot of skills and the scenery was incredible. I’m really glad I went. The group guides were wonderful too.
