The city was the centre of the Inca Empire and then taken over by the Spanish colonialists. That history is obvious in its busy modern-day streets, with stunning Inca walls below magnificent colonial cathedrals. It is a unique and vibrant place. Once you arrive you will be greeted by the Camp Manager who will give you a camp and community tour and explain more about the projects you\u2019ll be getting involved with over the coming days &#8211; the group will have the opportunity to set their own goals for those projects within a broader set of objectives. The camp is in a remote area that gives you a glimpse into the local way of life,\u202ftraditions\u202fand challenges.
