Day Activities More details
Day 1 Arrival day Welcome to South Africa, the “Rainbow Nation,” known for its stunning landscapes and cultural diversity. Today, you’ll be greeted at Cape Town Airport and transferred to your hotel to settle in. In the evening, enjoy a traditional welcome braai (barbecue), a key part of South African culture.
Day 2 Sports day Today, you’ll spend the day at Kasi Soccer School, a community-driven NGO dedicated to empowering young girls through an after-school soccer (football) programme. By offering a safe space for physical activity and education, the school promotes not only fitness and teamwork but also boosts confidence, self-esteem and gender equality. You’ll assist in providing much-needed sports coaching, with the aim to help foster physical fitness, teamwork and communication skills. Today isn’t just about teaching sports but creating lasting memories and inspiring the next generation to lead active lives.
Day 3 Castle of Good Hope and Kirstenbosch In the morning, you’ll visit the Castle of Good Hope, a historic 17th-century fortress and former headquarters of the Dutch East India Company. A guide will lead you through the museum, offering rich insights into this landmarks complex history of colonisation, slavery and military significance. After lunch, you’ll take a scenic drive to Kirstenbosch, a world-renowned botanical garden located at the foot of Table Mountain. Spanning 528 hectares, it is one of the largest and most diverse botanical gardens globally, featuring an array of indigenous South African flora. Explore the walking trails, including the iconic Boomslang Canopy Walkway, while keeping an eye out for local wildlife, including birds, reptiles and small mammals.
Day 4 Lions Head hike and scenic drive Today, you’ll conquer Lion’s Head. Known for its unique shape and panoramic views of Cape Town and the Atlantic Ocean, the trail (taking about 3 hours) features a steady incline to the summit, offering breath-taking scenery along the way. After the hike, you’ll visit the Bay Harbour Market in Hout Bay. This market offers a unique shopping experience with local crafts, food and music, all set against the backdrop of the bay. After your lunch, you’ll experience one of the world’s most scenic drives, the famous Chapman’s Peak Drive, a 9-kilometre coastal route.
Day 5 Sports day Enjoy another day at the Kasi Soccer School, assisting and taking part in fun games and activities.
Days 6 Table Mountain and V&A Waterfront Table Mountain, with its distinctive flat top, is one of Cape Town’s most iconic landmarks, rising 1,086 metres (3,563 feet) above sea level. You’ll take a cable car to the summit, where you’ll explore its unique biodiversity. After enjoying the views, you’ll take the cable car back down and head to the V&A Waterfront for some leisure time. Named after Queen Victoria and Prince Alfred, the Waterfront offers over 450 retail stores, a variety of dining options and entertainment venues.
Day 7 City walking tour and Signal Hill sunset Today, you’ll explore the city on foot. The walking tour offers a vibrant and immersive experience through the heart of the city as you visit landmarks such as the colourful Bo-Kaap neighbourhood, Greenmarket Square and the Company’s Garden. Learn about South Africa’s rich heritage, from colonial times to the anti-apartheid struggle, while enjoying lively street art, markets and architectural gems, all framed by stunning views of Table Mountain. In the late afternoon, you’ll head to Signal Hill to watch the sunset, relax and reflect on your memories made during your visit.
Day 8 Departure Make your way to the airport for your departure home.
