Keeping the team safe

Unlike most student travel providers, we own or directly manage our ground operations in every country where we work. This allows us to deliver an unmatched level of safety and support throughout the entire program. Our operations rooms are staffed 24/7 and maintain live communication with all camps, field teams, and support networks—including local hospitals.

We put safety first:

• We maintain a minimum 1:10 ratio of adult supervision and ensure every group is led by a qualified and experienced Expedition Leader—alongside our incredible local staff
• We meet internationally recognized safety standards, such as the BS8848 British Standard and undergo regular external reviews.
• Our programs include thorough risk assessments and emergency response plans, so you can feel confident every precaution is in place. This is demonstrated by our  Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge.

We also offer lead teachers the chance to join a one-week familiarization trip, allowing them to visit our camps and projects in advance and conduct their own risk assessments.
