Photo and Video Competition Terms & Conditions

Eligibility 

This contest is open to student travelers, teachers, and expedition leaders who have taken part in a Camps International trip on or after February 1, 2025. Employees of Camps International Group Ltd (“Camps”), companies within the Impact Travel Group, their immediate families, and anyone else professionally connected to this contest are not eligible to enter. 

General Terms 
  • By entering, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions, which form a binding agreement once an entry is submitted. 
  • All judging decisions are final and will not be reconsidered. 
How to Enter 

The contest opens on April 1, 2025, and all entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. (GMT) on December 31, 2025. 

Participants may submit entries in the following categories:

Community: Interactions and experiences with local communities during your trip. 

Projects: Showcasing projects undertaken during your expedition.

Life in Camps: Daily activities and moments within the camps.

Wildlife: Encounters with wildlife during your journey.

Environment: Natural landscapes and ecosystems visited.

Adventure: Adventurous activities and experiences.

Sustainability: Sustainable practices and initiatives observed or supported.

Fundraising: Efforts and events related to fundraising for the expedition.

Photo entries: Must be submitted via the online entry form. Files should be at least 200 dpi, larger than 1MB, and labeled as:  Country_PhotoTitle_Category_YourName. 

Video entries: Must also be submitted via the online entry form. Videos must be 60 seconds or less, in portrait or landscape orientation, saved as MP4, and labeled as: Country_VideoTitle_Category_YourName. 

Large files or multiple entries: If file sizes exceed the limit or you are submitting multiple entries, you may use a file transfer service (e.g., WeTransfer, Dropbox). All files must follow the naming format above, and the transfer link should be shared in the online entry form or submitted via the inquiry form. 

Submission Rules 
  • Entries must be original work created by the entrant and must not have been previously published or won awards in other contests. 
  • Entrants are responsible for ensuring their submissions comply with copyright law and that permission has been obtained from any identifiable individuals featured in photos or videos. By submitting, entrants confirm they own the copyright
  • AI-generated or heavily AI-altered content will not be accepted. Minor retouching or standard enhancements are allowed, but entries must remain true to the original work captured by the entrant.
Copyright and Usage Rights 

Copyright remains with the entrant. However, by entering, participants grant Camps a worldwide, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use their submissions across Camps publications, websites, social media, promotional materials, and fundraising campaigns for the Camps Foundation. 

Submissions may also be used by companies within the Impact Travel Group or shared with carefully selected third parties for the sole purpose of promoting Camps expeditions. While credit will be given whenever possible, it cannot be guaranteed. 

Camps may make edits to submissions for promotional purposes while preserving the integrity of the original work. 

Disqualification 
  • Late, incomplete, low-resolution, or corrupted entries will not be accepted. Proof of sending does not count as proof of receipt. 
Judging and Prizes 
  • Entries will be judged on originality, creativity, visual impact, and how effectively they communicate their message. 
  • Prizes: One overall contest winner will receive a GoPro. Monthly winners will receive photo printing vouchers. 
  • Prizes are as described, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Camps may substitute a prize of equal value if necessary. 
  • Winners will be notified within 45 days of the contest closing date. 
Publicity and Privacy 

Winners may be asked to take part in reasonable promotional activities. By entering, participants consent to the use of their name, likeness, and entry in any promotional materials related to the contest. 

General Provisions 
  • Camps reserves the right to move entries into different categories if more appropriate. 
  • If the standard of entries is insufficient or too few entries are received, Camps reserves the right not to select winners or award prizes. 
  • Circumstances outside of Camps’ control may require changes to the contest or prizes. Camps will not be held responsible for such changes. 
Governing Law 

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
