We understand that with our commitment to your student, we are assuming significant responsibility. This responsibility is one we take very seriously. We provide opportunities for young people to develop their personal skills and accomplish extraordinary things during their time with us.
This is not a holiday – it’s often a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and we make sure every moment counts.
Our award-winning school expeditions ensure your child is fully supported from the moment they sign up to the moment they come home with dirty clothes and thousands of amazing memories.
More about Camps
Our expeditions offer a blend of project work, adventure and cultural immersion, with itineraries carefully designed to create life-enhancing experiences and meaningful, lasting impact – for your child and for the people and places they visit.
Life on expedition will place young travellers in situations that cannot be replicated in the classroom or at home. Challenging themselves to take on new adventures outside their comfort zone will build confidence and resilience, allowing them to shape their identity as well as gaining a greater understanding of the wider world.
Working alongside local people on sustainable projects provides a unique opportunity to integrate with new cultures, speak new languages, make new and lasting friendships and improve their leadership and team-working skills. They’ll also gain valuable experiences to enhance their resume and job or university applications.
Time and again parents tell us their children come back from expedition transformed – with an increased sense of confidence, purpose and gratitude and a renewed perspective on life.
More on personal development
There is no doubt that the greatest benefits and rewards come from the most challenging tasks and adventures. As industry leaders in expedition safety our job is to ensure that the challenges we introduce and the services we provide are as safe as possible.
Not only will your student be in the safe hands of their qualified and experienced expedition leader, but they will also be fully supported on the ground by our permanently employed local Camps staff. We have directors overseeing each region, a head office in each destination country and a year-round operation.
Unlike other expedition companies, we own or manage our operations in every region we work. There is a seamless link between our local, regional and global Operations Teams and our expedition destinations.
Your student will receive 24/7 support from our global network of staff, so we are always on hand to prevent and deal with any incidents immediately, rather than just react from afar.
As a Camps International traveller, your child stays in the camps that we own or manage, they use approved private transport, work on our projects and are supported by our staff.
All this results in a fully supported expedition. It also means we are experts in the countries and areas that we work. We know what is happening on the ground and understand and are part of the communities we work with.
Our Safety
Fundraising is a hugely valuable part of the expedition journey, and helps your child develop important skills for life, such as planning, negotiating and managing a budget.
We completely understand the thought of raising the full amount for an expedition is daunting. That’s why we have put such a fantastic fundraising support network in place to help you and your child on your fundraising journey – face to face, over the phone and online through our Traveller Gateway portal. All of this support is available to students from the moment they sign up to the expedition, with hundreds of ideas and resources to make fundraising achievable for everyone.
Each year we see thousands of fundraising success stories from students all over the world and we’ll be here to help your child achieve their goals too.
