How to fundraise from home

With more people staying indoors over the coming weeks, there are lots of ways to keep up to date with your fundraising. Here are some ideas you can get stuck into without having to leave the comfort of your own home.

Shopnate
If you haven’t already, sign up to Shopnate. Not only can you receive donations just by doing your online shopping, but you can also give your code out to friends and family who can help make donations by shopping online as well.

Live streaming
The digital world is moving fast and we now have the ability to livestream across the world. You could host a music performance or event in exchange for a donation. Make sure to share the link out on your social media so you can get as many viewers as possible!

Online tutoring
If you’re particularly talented in a certain subject, you could put your knowledge to good use and offer virtual home tutoring online. Charge an hourly rate for your services whilst keeping fellow students up to date on their vital schoolwork. Make sure you’re up to date on your own first though.

Online Selling
One person’s rubbish is another’s treasure! It’s a great time to have a clear out and find things that you no longer want or need. You can then sell these on sites such as Ebay, Facebook Marketplace or Gumtree. Make sure you are able to get to the post office in order to send your items and if not, make sure the buyer is aware that there may be a delay.

Arts and Crafts
If you’re feeling particularly creative, you could design and make crafts that you can sell! With Mother’s Day and Easter coming up, it’s a great opportunity to make some beautiful cards and gifts. One of our volunteers has raised over $800 selling friendship bracelets for her Borneo trip.

Odd jobs
There are always odd jobs to be done around the house and garden so why not ask your family and neighbours if there’s anything you can do to help in exchange for a donations to your expedition? You could mow the lawn, get started on some garden maintenance or clean windows – just to name a few.

We love to hear about your fundraising stories. Feel free to send your most inspiring fundraising events to submissions@campsinternational.com and you could be in with the chance to be featured on our social media or website.
