Travelling locally or internationally in 2021/2022

Thank you for the continued patience and support from those of you on a planned trip at the end of 2021 or planning a school expedition with us in 2022.

As you will know, it is an extremely challenging time for our schools, and we are sympathetic to the fact that some concerns exist. We have been working with schools to collaborate on options to relieve uncertainty and reduce pressure of finances in advance of any travel advisories, restrictive or unrestrictive, which may or may not come into force.

We would like to reassure you, we understand that travel has become more complex, and we are constantly reviewing the latest Government guidelines. We will only travel to destinations deemed safe by Government authorities. For clarity, if nearer the time of travel the Government advice constrains us from travelling, we will be in immediate touch with the school regarding the next course of action for any travellers confirmed on a booking.

We recognise there are still many obstacles to overcome and that the current restrictions pose additional challenges for many of our travellers. In the meantime, we continue to take all measures needed to ensure that Camps is able to continue operating and deliver exceptional experiences the moment restrictions ease for International travel. We continue with all operational processes and are still preparing for end of year travel in line with our booking conditions, with the added enhancements to our already comprehensive hygiene and safety measures and COVID-19 specific operating procedures to protect both our travellers and staff.

As we look to the future, new trips can now be booked for 2022 onwards and our crew is already busy with schools organising these expeditions. We are introducing a wide range of new options across all travel seasons to ensure as many people as possible get to experience the life-changing travel opportunities they’ve missed out on for over a year.

We are also delighted to announce that we have partnered with several indigenous communities across Australia and have already added two new 7 day and 10 day Indigenous Expeditions to our experiential travel portfolio. Through these trips, there is an opportunity to share traditional landowner stories, their history and a rich culture, giving critical insights and learning for young people, all within the confines of our national border.

If you are looking to secure travel dates for 2022 or simply have concerns about future travel, our friendly and expert Expeditions Team are available on australia-operations@campsinternational.com.au  to assist you.

We look forward to seeing you on expedition, back out enjoying nature, wild places and doing something amazing.
