Day Activities More details
Day 1 Arrive Panama Arrive at Panama Tocument Intl Airport. Transfer to your hotel (30 minutes) and enjoy dinner at your hotel.
Day 2 Panama City After breakfast, transfer to the iconic Panama Canal, an engineering feat and a crucial waterway linking the Atlantic to the Pacific in Central America. Explore the Miraflores locks and enjoy lunch at the fish market. Continue your discovery of Panama City by taking a tour of the colonial district of Casco Viejo with its cobblestone streets and ancient churches.
Day 3 Indigenous Encounters Today is a day of culture exploration with a visit to the Embera village to meet the Embera people. An indigenous community that primarily inhabits the country’s mountainous and forested regions. Their way of life is closely tied to nature, focusing on subsistence farming and fishing. Spend the day with the community. Watch their traditional dance, enjoy a tour through their village characterised by stilt houses and have a traditional lunch – typically featuring freshly caught fish, deliciously fried over a wood fire and accompanied by crispy patacones (green plantains) served in banana leaves.
Day 4 Village of Portobelo Depart for the village of Portobelo on the Caribbean coast. Walk in the footsteps of Christopher Columbus and the pirates as you go on a historical tour of the village and its fortifications. Get onboard a boat to be transferred to a white sandy beach for a picnic and free time in this Caribbean paradise. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.
Day 5 Departure After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight home.
