We’re excited to share that Camps International has been awarded Best Sustainable Tour Operator at the 2025 Global Youth Travel Awards, hosted during WYSTC.

This recognition highlights our long-standing commitment to ethical, educational travel that empowers young people and creates meaningful impact for communities and the environment around the world.

Travel That Makes a Difference

For over 20 years, Camps International has reimagined what responsible travel can be. Our expeditions give students the opportunity to step beyond the classroom and into real-world experiences — working side by side with our partner communities, gaining firsthand understanding of global challenges, and returning home with a stronger sense of purpose and perspective.

Over the past two years, our student travelers have:

Completed 209 community and conservation projects across the globe, contributing more than 450,000 hours of hands-on work.
Planted over 6,000 trees and supported the protection of 85,000 acres of land since 2023.
Reported significant personal growth, with 95% of students saying their expedition increased their global awareness, independence and resilience.

Our students in the UK have also shown an incredible commitment to making travel accessible. More than 95% took part in fundraising and collectively raised around two-thirds of their expedition costs through customized guidance and support.

Our expeditions bring people together through community development, environmental action, and authentic cultural exchange. Every journey is designed to benefit both our travelers and the communities we partner with, creating long-term, measurable impact.

Whether it’s building classrooms and clean water systems or restoring ecosystems and protecting endangered species, all of our projects are community-driven and rooted in long-term goals. Our teams live and work on the ground year-round, ensuring progress continues far beyond each travel season.

This award is a testament to the dedication of our students, schools, staff and partner communities around the world. It celebrates the belief that young people, when given the opportunity to engage meaningfully with global challenges, can create genuine and lasting change.
